WHEEL THROWING
This 2.5-hour beginner-friendly workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of wheel throwing and working with clay. You’ll learn about the material, how to center clay, shape basic forms, and create your first ceramic pieces on the wheel.
You’ll get to keep your two favourite pieces, which we will trim, glaze, and fire for you. Finished pieces can be picked up after 2–3 weeks.
No prior experience needed. All materials are included.

Pottery Painting
Join us for a 2-hour creative pottery painting session. Whether you’re looking to try something new, enjoy a creative afternoon, or simply slow down and make something by hand, this workshop is open to everyone — children aged 6+ are also very welcome.
You’ll learn unique pottery painting techniques while working with a carefully curated colour palette. We focus on simplicity, craftsmanship, and high-quality design in a relaxed studio atmosphere.
One handmade cup is included in the workshop. If you feel inspired to create more, additional ceramic pieces can be purchased during the class.
All pieces will be glazed and fired for you and will be ready for pickup in approximately 2–3 weeks.

Open Studio
Christmas pottery painting
Join us for our Christmas Pottery Painting Open Studio! 🎄
Every Wednesday from November 4 to December 16, our atelier doors are open from 1 pm to 6 pm for an afternoon of creativity, exploration, and Christmas cheer.
Choose your favorite ornament shapes from our studio selection and make them your own. Create beautiful decorations for your Christmas tree or home, or paint a one-of-a-kind handmade gift for someone special.
Bring the kids, bring a friend, or simply treat yourself to some creative time in the studio!
Studio fee: CHF 45 per person for one hour, including glazing materials and firing costs. Pottery pieces are purchased separately.

Workshop Booking & Cancellation Policy
Booking & Payment
To reserve your place, full payment is required at the time of booking. As workshop spaces are limited, your booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
Cancellations
If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible.
More than 7 days before your workshop: You may cancel for a full refund or transfer your booking to another available workshop date.
Within 7 days of the workshop: Workshop bookings are non-refundable. As workshop places are limited and materials are prepared in advance, we appreciate your understanding of this policy.
If you're unable to attend, you're welcome to transfer your booking to a friend. Please let us know their name in advance.
If We Need to Cancel
If a workshop needs to be cancelled or rescheduled by Atelier Elli, you will receive either a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another workshop date.
Your Ceramic Pieces
After the workshop, your pieces will be carefully dried, glazed, and fired. This process takes approximately 2–3 weeks.
We'll let you know as soon as your pieces are ready for collection.
While every care is taken throughout the making and firing process, ceramics are delicate by nature. On rare occasions, small imperfections, cracks, or breakage may occur during drying or firing. As this is an inherent part of working with clay, refunds or replacements cannot be offered in these instances.
